On August 10, 2012 Ode-to-simplicity has published a new issue of POINT OF SIMPLICITY e-magazine – ISSUE#7.MINDGAMES, devoted to conceptual photography and optical illusions. The issue features works of such amazing photographers as Maryanne Gobble, Robby Cavanaugh, Christoffer Relander, Yanina Boldyreva, and an isightful article on abstract and surreal photography “The de-materialization of artwork” by DpressedSoul.

It is great to see how the group has grown since it started. From the very dawn, we started this journey with some rather different plans in mind. So we begun to look at things differently and from a special perspective. We gathered a fairly special assembly of artists to join us; and for them, we kept thinking some very special plans. We knew that we wanted to see and do things beyond the walls of dA with theILLUSORY and one of those things seems to be a not so distant reality now, to be observed in the nearby horizons of this conceptual cult.

The definition of Conceptual Arts has been proven to be somewhat unclear for many wanderers as well as regulars in the vivid world of arts. This issue becomes even more confusing when it comes to comparison of Conceptual Arts and Concept Arts. Here in the ILLUSORY we see this matter as a critical issue, and as a Conceptual Arts community we feel a certain responsibility to address this question in a brief and clear manner.
